That little point and shoot is a good little "throw in your purse" camera, and it takes great video clips.

Great images require great gear.
Canon cameras are, in my opinion, the best out there, and the lenses are top notch.
I use Canon 5Ds with the full-frame sensor, and the 70-200 f/2.8 lens is my favorite.
Those are pricy, but there are less expensive options, like the 40D with a more affordable lens.
